December 1941. Pilot Nikolai Komlev successfully carried out his orders to destroy a German tank division heading to Moscow. However, Komlev's plane was shot down by enemy fighters, and he miraculously managed to land his Il-2 attack aircraft in a desolate forest clearing. It seemed that the worst was over, as he survived an aerial battle. However, the real test was just beginning: the injured Komlev had to traverse an incredible path, overcoming frost, pain, and hunger, avoiding wolf packs and evading Nazi special forces determined to find him at all costs.
