Alex (Tyler Perry) is specifically responsible for the investigation and solving of major criminal cases. A Taiwanese girl is sexually murdered in a mansion, and several people, including her personal bodyguard, also fall victim. Alex is ordered to take on the investigation of this case. This murder seems to be related to the serial killer Michael (Matthew Fox), who is experienced, cold-blooded, and always one step ahead of the police, managing to escape after each crime. To provoke Alex, he makes a warning call on their wedding anniversary and kills Alex's wife (Rachel Nichols) right in front of him. The pain of losing his wife fuels Alex's determination to capture Michael. However, as he unravels the layers of the murder case and gets closer to the truth, key individuals involved are systematically murdered.
