The leader of a gang is shot dead while returning home by car at night, and the whereabouts of the murderer remain unknown. The gang discusses the issue of succession, and to avoid division and disputes, elder Ma Gong (played by Wu Ma) and lawyer Wang (played by Huang Zhan) agree to name the honest and hardworking Ah Xiu (played by Li Xiu Xian) as the successor in the name of the deceased leader. On the other hand, Ah Tai (played by Chan Kwan Tai), who is from the same generation as Ah Xiu, receives a call from the leader's driver one day, claiming that Ah Xiu was behind the assassination.
