In 1914, amid warlord chaos and surrounded by foreign powers, the two steeds of the Zhao Ling mysteriously disappeared. During that dark age, on the dirtiest night in history, in the tomb of Li Shimin in Shaanxi Zhao Ling, the six horse sculptures, known as the Six Steeds of Zhao Ling, were priceless. On this bloody night, two of the steeds were inexplicably stolen. The tomb keeper Tang Zhenhua (played by Tian Liang) traced them all the way to the capital, where the courier transporting the national treasure was murdered in the street, cutting off the clues. Was it a case of silencing witnesses or is there something more sinister? Mysterious figures appear one after another, revealing a shocking conspiracy hidden behind the murder case...
