Twenty-seven-year-old nihilistic insurance agent A-Liang (played by Fu Mengbo) spends his days contemplating how to end his life; to him, life is just a scratched record playing the same note over and over. One day, he discovers the posthumous work "Life for Sale" by Japanese literary giant Yukio Mishima, which changes his perspective...if he has to close the curtain, he might as well do a clearance sale first! However, he never expected that his life would go unnoticed online. Just when he is feeling hopeless, A-Liang learns that his neighbor Chen Yuzhen’s (played by Zeng Zhiqiao) son is in desperate need of a heart transplant. As he hesitates about whether to donate his heart, a beautiful CEO, Chen Jing (played by Cai Shuzhen), offers a fortune for his life for experimental purposes, while at the same time, a gangster boss sends a hitman, Gui Bi (played by Li Mingzhong), to kidnap his parents and threaten him into selling his life.
