The President of the United States (played by Morgan Freeman) is gravely injured and falls into a coma after a drone terrorist attack, with his entourage wiped out in multiple explosions. The only survivor—his long-time bodyguard Mike Banning (played by Gerard Butler)—becomes the prime suspect, accused by the FBI of attempting to assassinate the President. Banning must clear his name while preventing the real assassination plot against the President. With numerous forces chasing him, he has no choice but to seek protection from a mysterious figure...
