In a remote primordial jungle in Papua New Guinea, there exists a giant cave known as the Mother of Caves — Isa Ala. Wealthy explorer Karl (played by Ioan Gruffudd) spends lavishly to hire Frank (played by Richard Roxburgh) and his team, who boast rich experience in cave exploration, to investigate the site. Several months pass, and although progress has been made in exploring Isa Ala, it remains slow. Meanwhile, a fierce tropical storm is approaching, making cave exploration urgent. This leads to an argument between Karl and Frank, the latter taking a desperate risk by diving into the water with his already fatigued partner Jude (played by Allison Cratchley) to confront a perilous passage known as the "Devil's Limit." At the same time, Karl's girlfriend Victoria and Frank's son Josh join the expedition into the cave. Unbeknownst to them, disaster is looming... This film is adapted from Andrew Wight's real-life experiences while cave diving in Western Australia and is shot using the 3D camera from Avatar.
