The pawnbroker uncle (Won Bin) living next door to the little girl Xiao Mi (Kim Sae-ron) rarely interacts with his neighbors, except for business. His disheveled appearance and silent demeanor raise many suspicions about his identity. Innocent Xiao Mi ignores these rumors and often visits this mysterious neighbor, eventually leading them to become friends. Xiao Mi's mother gets caught up in a drug robbery involving a gang, putting both her and Xiao Mi in danger. After witnessing the kidnapping of Xiao Mi and her mother, the pawnbroker uncle begins to fight against the gang to rescue them. At the same time, the police are also investigating the case, slowly revealing the true identity of the pawnbroker, Won Tae-sik. The body of Xiao Mi’s mother, who had all her valuable organs removed, is found in the trunk of a car, but Xiao Mi, who went missing with her, remains untraceable... The film, featuring Kim Sae-ron as “Maki” and Won Bin in a disheveled look, is a Korean adaptation of "Léon: The Professional" and became the highest-grossing film in Korea in 2010.
