The 2006 crime thriller "Inside Man," starring Denzel Washington, Clive Owen, and Jodie Foster, directed by Spike Lee, is set to have a sequel with Aml Ameen (from "Sense8") confirmed to star. The plot of "Inside Man 2" resembles a remake of the first film: it tells the story of the Federal Reserve being robbed by a group of clever and skilled thieves who take multiple hostages. A New York police negotiator (played by Ameen) teams up with a federal agent to solve the heist and rescue the hostages. While the original "Inside Man" focused on the intellectual battle between the police and criminals, and the thieves' code of ethics. The sequel is directed by MJ Bassett (from "Power," "Iron Fist," and the TV series "Ash vs Evil Dead") and produced by Universal 1440 under Universal Pictures Home Entertainment, set to premiere on Netflix and various other digital platforms.
