In 1999, Yugoslavia. The Russian task force was ordered to secure the Slatina Airport in Kosovo until reinforcements arrived. This strategic objective was critically important for both the Albanian battlefield commanders and NATO generals. The organization was forced to engage in an unequal fight against terrorists. The Russian peacekeeping forces and NATO troops were rushing to the airport. The world was once again nearing a major conflict.
