Agent Stratton (Dominic Cooper) learns that his colleague Marty (Tyler Hoechlin) has tragically died during a mission. He discovers that a defector from the former Soviet Union, Barovsky (Thomas Kretschmann), possesses a cache of extremely dangerous biological weapons and is attempting to use them to carry out his revenge plot. To stop Barovsky's scheme, Stratton travels to Rome. Hank (Austin Stowell), Marty's best friend and a member of the team, is consumed by hatred, and his mistake leads to the entire operation's failure, allowing Barovsky to slip away right under their noses. The team must return to London to regroup, with little time left.
