In the late Qing Dynasty, natural disasters and human calamities were frequent. The Chaoshan area was suffering from famine, leading to chaos among the people. In search of survival, the poor residents flocked to the Nan Zhu Temple to pray for divine protection. However, the wicked tyrant "Black Sand Palm" (played by Wang Chi) occupied the temple and oppressed the common folk. The martial artist Wu Laodong, along with his son Wu Jiatai (played by Wang Qun), went to confront Black Sand Palm and engaged in a fierce fight. Ultimately, due to his old age and frailty, Wu Laodong was killed brutally by Black Sand Palm's subordinates, and the proud Jiatai was seriously injured. Jiatai, who narrowly escaped death, decided to follow his father's last wish and seek out the nemesis of Black Sand Palm—the practitioner of the Mandarin Duck Legs, the performer Feng Lanyi. Along the way, Jiatai unexpectedly meets the heir of the Mandarin Duck Legs, Zhu Fengni (played by Zong Qiaozhen)… Adapted from the Chaoshan folk tale "Mandarin Duck Iron Shoes."
