In order to resurrect his dead friend Kato (played by Kenichi Matsuyama) and other deceased individuals, Kei Kurono (played by Kazunari Ninomiya) and his comrades have been fighting various aliens for five months to earn more points. During this process, new participants keep joining Gantz, and these newcomers seem to have an inexplicable familiarity with this seemingly alien world.
