This film simply recounts Bruce Lee's journey from childhood martial arts training to fleeing to the United States due to trouble in Hong Kong. He first worked as a dishwasher in a Chinese restaurant, and then got into a fight with a kitchen chef over a waitress, resulting in his dismissal by the boss, who recognized his potential and encouraged him to leave the restaurant for university, even providing some financial aid. At university, Bruce met his wife, Linda. Apart from the exciting martial arts scenes, the film meticulously portrays the journey of Bruce Lee and his wife Linda (played by Lauren Holly) from their initial meeting and romance to their union. Later, with Linda's support, Bruce opened a martial arts school, achieving fame. Bruce passed away at the age of 32, and the cause of his death remains a mystery. The film suggests that after becoming famous in Hollywood, Bruce faced the conflict between traditional Chinese martial arts and Hollywood commercialization, compounded by the persistent shadow of racial discrimination. Nightly, Bruce was plagued by nightmares, with several surreal dreams hinting at the tragic outcome of this legendary star.
