This film is adapted from a Belgian comic series, inspired by the video game of the same name, XIII. Three months after the assassination of the first female president of the United States during a speech on "Veterans Day," a wounded, ragged man (played by Stephen Dorff) appears in a forest. He has no name, no memories, no past, and looks as if he has never existed in this world. The only clue is the tattoo on his body that reads "XIII." With the help of a mysterious organization, XIII escapes from prison but encounters a familiar lover while being forced into a deal by the same organization, all while being pursued by another group. Their goal is the memory chip hidden in XIII's watch, and everything remains shrouded in mystery. XIII finds himself entangled in a shocking conspiracy, discovering that he is not the real XIII. The real XIII was silenced shortly after the president's assassination, and he is a mole assigned by the then Deputy Director of the National Security Agency to lure out the mastermind behind it all...
