Si Tu Bao (played by Louis Koo), once dubbed the "Judo Little King Kong," was a master in his prime, but he has now abandoned judo and fallen into a life of debt, gambling, and alcoholism. The new judo champion Tony (played by Aaron Kwok) arrives with the intent to challenge Si Tu Bao, eager to test his skills. His old rival, the fierce Li A Gang (played by Tony Leung Ka Fai), comes seeking a showdown with Si Tu Bao due to an unfinished match from years ago. As a result, Tony and Si Tu Bao become friends, while a beautiful girl from Taiwan, Xiao Meng (played by Charlene Choi), dreams of becoming a singer but narrowly escapes a plot against her. She endures many hardships in pursuit of her dream and hopes that Si Tu Bao can reignite his fighting spirit. However, what truly spurs him into action is the death of his aging master (played by Lu Hai Peng) in battle. What hidden pain causes Si Tu Bao to resign himself to this decline?
