On her wedding anniversary, CIA agent Evelyn Salt (Angelina Jolie) is tasked with interrogating a Russian spy who has surrendered. The spy claims to have infiltrated the U.S. since the 1980s and reveals that a master spy has trained several children to become spies, embedding them in ordinary American families to wait for the opportunity to assassinate the U.S. president.
