Strong transporter Frank Martin (Jason Statham) is recently tasked with transporting the young son of drug enforcement officer Mr. Billings, Jack. Frank and Jack's mother have a harmonious relationship, but the sudden appearance of a group of criminals disrupts the peace. Frank has a successful first encounter with them at the hospital, but for Jack's safety, he has to hand the child over to the criminals and is subsequently identified by the police as a kidnapping suspect. Frank realizes that this kidnapping has a deeper meaning; the drug trafficking group behind the event plans to use young Jack to spread a deadly virus to high-ranking officials from various countries attending an international conference on drug enforcement, clearing the way for their criminal activities. Frank takes on the trust of Jack's mother, Audrey, and as the police and the drug trafficking group close in, he gradually gets closer to the mastermind, Gianni (Alessandro Gassman), engaging in a series of intense battles both in the air and underwater.
