The film tells the story of Chapman, played by White, seeking revenge for his sister by wreaking havoc in the Brazilian slums. Chapman, a former Marine described as a "dark anti-hero," is tormented by guilt and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). His sister, working as a member of a charity organization, is brutally murdered and left on the streets of Brazil. Consequently, Chapman flies to São Paulo to track down his sister's killer and confronts the Japanese mafia controlling the slums, single-handedly engaging in a bloody battle as a lone hero.
