Andrés is a music teacher working in Madrid who has to move to a Basque town to substitute teach at a high school. He is in his 40s and has never overcome his stage fright; he feels that this new life is taking him further away from his dream of becoming a musician. When he arrives there, on his first day of school, he faints due to tinnitus: it is cancer. To receive treatment, he must take the "Life Bus" to the hospital in Bilbao, an old bus that transports patients from the region for free. In sharing laughter, honesty, experiences, and fears with his companions, Andrés will gain strength and ultimately confront his fears to achieve his dream of stepping onto the stage.
