"Gold Chase" tells the story of ten stolen boxes of gold from a gold mining site in Hainan. Led by Du Zhongxiong, a special task force is ordered to Hong Kong to work with the police to solve the case. The stolen gold was taken by technician Luo Qiang and Xu Biao working together. Xu Biao's partner, Zhou Heng, set a trap to kill Xu and hoard the goods for himself, but was instead killed by Xu Biao. During the investigation, Du Zhongxiong discovers that Xu Biao is actually his long-lost sworn brother, Feng. Smuggler Lei Tian saves Xu's life to share the gold when the police are pursuing Xu Biao and promises to eliminate Du Zhongxiong and others for Xu.
