Jack is a veteran suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, and some of his stress responses severely affect his daily life. However, he still puts in all his efforts to take care of his younger sister. One day, Jack and his sister go out normally and reach the Tobin Memorial Bridge in Boston, only to find it blocked. It turns out that a group of heavily armed criminals is hijacking a police car transporting prisoners and taking everyone on the bridge hostage. They demand a huge ransom from the government and the release of their teammates. Seeing that innocent lives, including his sister's, are in imminent danger, Jack steps up. Using the skills he learned in the military and with the cooperation of the hostages, he engages in a battle of wits with the criminals, taking down several of them. Ultimately, he collaborates with the SWAT team to thwart the conspiracy and rescue many hostages.
