At the mysterious Alupus Snow Mountain, several members of K University's mountaineering club mysteriously disappear. To find their missing companions, the other members, led by the search director (played by Ichiro Chiba), venture into the mountains to search for the victims. They endure countless hardships and obstacles, but the real ordeal lies ahead. One night, the team encounters the legendary snowman (played by Masahiro Sagara). A young man named Takashi Iijima (played by Akira Takarada) insists on pursuing it, but he is pushed off a cliff by a group led by Ooba (played by Yoshio Kosugi), who profits from capturing animals. Iijima is rescued by a primitive tribe girl named Chika (played by Akemi Negishi), but then he is hung between cliffs by the ignorant villagers. This encounter brings Iijima face-to-face with the snowman, leading him to a new understanding of this terrifying and grotesque creature. Meanwhile, Ooba attempts to capture the snowman for a fortune… This film is adapted from the sci-fi novel by Saku Koyama. Due to its sensitive topics such as incest among primitive tribes, its release faced significant delays, and it was not widely distributed until 2009 in various media forms.
