After failing in business, Ma Dafu (played by Cheng Kui'an) moves to a remote mountain village with his wife (Mai Jiaqi) and two daughters (Li Yanping, Wang Fei) to open an inn. Despite being open for several days, there are no customers. Later, guided by a madwoman, they discover that the inn is haunted by vengeful spirits, which is why there is no business.
