He Lizhu (played by Sammi Cheng) goes on vacation in the Caribbean where she meets a handsome and well-mannered man. Although they only know each other for 7 days, they swiftly get married. However, the good times are short-lived as the man tragically dies while diving, leaving He Lizhu heartbroken. This brief romance does not allow Lizhu to quickly forget her husband. She is engulfed in the shadows of her life and finds it hard to break free. One day, she unexpectedly discovers that she can see ghosts with her left eye. After that, Lizhu meets Wang Jinwei (played by Liu Qingyun), who claims to be her elementary school classmate and was once deeply in love with her. At first, Lizhu finds him troublesome, but during their interactions, she frequently receives his help and comfort, aiding her in overcoming the trauma of her husband's death. Before Wang Jinwei is supposed to reincarnate, Lizhu wants him to bring her husband back for a meeting, but Wang Jinwei is unable to do so. However, Lizhu gradually realizes that her wishes have not gone unanswered and that hope in life is slowly returning to her heart.
