The film tells the story of several bizarre murder cases in Hong Kong, where the victims showed symptoms of severe blood loss. Writer Azu () and journalist Herpes () are close friends who become interested in these cases for their creative inspiration and news material, respectively. Azu's Indonesian online friend Wang Yin (), a spiritual expert, believes that the situation is more complicated than it seems and comes to Hong Kong to investigate alongside Azu and Herpes. After an in-depth investigation, the trio discovers that bacteria are the culprits. In Indonesia, there exists a millennia-old tree that harbors a fungus; when this wood is made into coffins, the corpses become controlled by the fungus, turning into zombies. This wood has recently flowed into Hong Kong. The string of murders is perpetrated by zombies, and the zombie's wife (), in an effort to keep her husband from leaving her, seduces prey with her beauty, becoming a part of her husband's body.
