The Tianyin Sect is a sect from the Western Regions. Although it is called a sect, it places greater importance on monetary transactions. The sect master, Miaoyin, annually collects world-renowned treasures to hold a "Fireworks Festival."
The Fireworks Festival consists of three days of auctions, featuring both commonplace items like the Millennium Jade Guanyin and fantastical items like the Elixir of Immortality, attracting many heroes and wealthy merchants from the martial world to participate in the auction each year. However, this year's Fireworks Festival is particularly sensational because the long-silent divine weapon of the martial arts world, the "Illusion Blade," has unexpectedly appeared at the event.
The return of the Illusion Blade has drawn numerous martial arts experts, among whom the most famous is the Seven Gentlemen of Mist and Rain. The leader of the Mist and Rain Sect, Ren Pingsheng, is renowned and holds equal fame with the White-Clad Marquis.
Since the incident in Hongri City, the White-Clad Marquis and Liu Chan'er have been investigating the whereabouts of Zhuque. Based on recent clues, they came to the Fireworks Festival in search of Zhuque's whereabouts, and on their journey, they coincidentally crossed paths with the Seven Gentlemen of Mist and Rain, sharing a stay at the West Wind Inn. Within the inn, the White-Clad Marquis discovers that while the Mist and Rain Sect appears harmonious on the surface, the members are deeply distrustful of one another, and conflicts abound, raising numerous suspicions in his mind.
As the martial artists gather at Tianyin Sect, the Fireworks Festival proceeds as planned, with everyone's anticipation focused on the final day and the bidding for the Illusion Blade. However, on the preceding night, internal strife erupts within the Mist and Rain Sect, resulting in Jiang Shangfeng being killed by Ren Pingsheng, an event witnessed by the White-Clad Marquis. This sequence of events indicates to him that the situation is far from simple. When the bidding for the Illusion Blade commences the next day, the White-Clad Marquis exposes that this Illusion Blade is a counterfeit, while Ren Pingsheng is the true possessor of the genuine blade. He has come to verify the authenticity of his weapon.
It turns out that all of this is part of Zhuque's conspiracy to use the auction of a fake Illusion Blade to draw out Ren Pingsheng with the true blade, while simultaneously instigating the fake death of Baiye and framing Jiang Shangfeng to incite infighting within the Mist and Rain Sect, thereby weakening their strength and seizing the genuine blade. Moreover, Zhuque colludes with the barbarian general Tie Liuer, intending to kidnap wealthy merchants attending the Fireworks Festival and plunder their riches. However, all of this is uncovered by the White-Clad Marquis and Liu Chan'er, leading to a battlefield at Tianyin Sect.
The flaming arrows of the barbarian archers ignited the Western Region's combustible oil, and the White-Clad Marquis re-emerges in his radiant robe, transforming into the "True White-Clad Marquis," defeating Zhuque once again.
The Seven Gentlemen of Mist and Rain have been shattered due to mutual suspicion, and Ren Pingsheng feels extreme guilt, retiring from the martial world thereafter.
