In a sparsely populated town in Europe, where even thefts are rare, a terrifying series of murders suddenly occurs. Residents of the town die one after another within a month, including the former detective partner of policewoman Tamara (played by Elyse Levesque), which fuels whispers among the townsfolk. During the investigation, Tamara discovers that the victims mutter 'Alfa, Alfa...' in a daze before dying, reminding her of her mother Leah (played by Veronica Ferrell). Leah once played a game called "Worry Chess" with her high school classmates during her adolescence, a game said to summon a mysterious force of revenge. However, a fire broke out during one game, resulting in the deaths of all the classmates, and Leah was the sole survivor, though her mental state was severely affected, leading to the game's disappearance. Now, it seems this force is spreading throughout the town, triggering a series of horrific events. Tamara faces the dilemma of her mother potentially being a suspect, while the townspeople continue to meet untimely ends. She is under immense pressure to stop this mysterious force that claims lives.
