In 1959, nine Russian mountaineers went missing near the Ural Mountains. When they were eventually found, they were already dead, seemingly having suffered from extreme fright and an attack by an overwhelming, non-human force. This is the famous Dyatlov Pass incident, which remains an unsolved mystery to this day. In far-off Oregon, college student Holly Goss is deeply fascinated by the case. After receiving funding, she contacts film student Jansen Day and three other enthusiasts to head to the site of the incident to film a documentary in an attempt to unravel the unresolved mystery. The initial journey is as joyful as a vacation, but as they get closer to their destination, a series of bizarre events begin to unfold, casting a sinister shadow over the team. Half a century-old nightmare is about to reoccur…
