Today's Singapore is a low-crime and relatively safe livable city. However, a low crime rate does not mean there are no crimes: even though crimes are few, vigilance is still necessary. This brand new documentary drama series "Crime Scene" re-examines several serious crimes that have occurred in the past. Through interviews with retired investigative officers, forensic experts, crime hotline journalists, criminal psychology experts, and other prosecution and defense specialists, along with reenactments of the cases, it analyzes the ins and outs surrounding each crime. By sharing eyewitness accounts and third-party narratives, it provides insights into the details known about these cases and offers sharp observations regarding the crimes, giving viewers a new understanding of these shocking societal incidents and raising awareness to prevent serious crimes from happening. The new series consists of five episodes, exploring the behaviors and psyches of multiple murderers. There is the 19-year-old serial killer Xue Jinhua, who chillingly murdered five people in less than a month in 1983; through modern crime behavior analysis, the series attempts to uncover the reasons behind this young man's killings. Before the Chinese New Year in 1979, a couple running a school bus business returned home from work and witnessed four young children brutally murdered in their home by a ruthless assailant, leaving behind an unsolved mystery to this day. Will today's advanced forensic technologies, such as DNA analysis, bring new hope to solving this unresolved murder case? In 2005, while working as usual at Kallang Riverside Park, a cleaner shockingly discovered a bag containing the severed limbs of a woman! After receiving the report, the police conducted a close investigation at the scene and across the island, finding more highly decayed body parts. This episode focuses on how forensic experts and investigators worked closely together, racing against time to unravel the case, using forensic techniques like DNA analysis to identify the victim and swiftly apprehend the murderer, bringing him to justice. In 1963, during the highly publicized Hong Shan Ni case in Malaysia, a trial was conducted for the murder of his girlfriend, with the prosecution unprecedentedly charging the defendant with murder without having found the victim's body. Through circumstantial evidence and witness testimonies, the prosecution proved that the defendant had a motive for premeditated murder, and Hong Shan Ni was ultimately sentenced to death. Half a century later, in 2016, another passionate murder case occurred, also resulting in a conviction for murder without the victim's body being found; in this case, the murderer Qiu Guifeng was convicted after killing his lover Cui Ya...
