Seventy-two-year-old grandma Myeoshun (played by Roo Won-hee) has lived alone for many years, accustomed to her solitude. One day, however, an unexpected guest arrives at her home. A shy little girl sits under her eaves, carrying a baby still in swaddling behind her. The girl tightly clutches a bundle, and after some tugging, Grandma Myeoshun discovers that the package contains the ashes of her long-missing daughter. The two girls are actually her biological granddaughters, Gong-joo (played by Kim Soo-an) and Jin-joo. Overwhelmed with mixed emotions, the elderly woman decides to take in the two children, but perhaps due to her long period of loneliness, she instinctively resists Gong-joo's involvement. After sending Gong-joo to school, she takes the little baby outside to sell goods. Days pass in their usual simplicity, yet the emotional landscape of the three generations quietly begins to change...
