Terrorists hijack a commercial airliner, forcing the captain to set the destination to a stadium filled with spectators. In a critical moment, a German fighter pilot disregards orders and shoots down the aircraft before it crashes into the stadium. He saves tens of thousands of innocent viewers but sacrifices all the passengers on board, subsequently standing trial.
