Sun Zhiwei (played by Chow Yun-fat) has been married to Liang Bao'er (played by Miu Kwan-yin) for eight years, and they have a son together. Their marriage is on the brink of collapse due to Sun Zhiwei's infidelity. Liang is determined to divorce and joins a "Single Women's Club" with five of her female friends. However, beneath the surface enjoyment of these women lies deep loneliness and pain. On the other hand, Sun Zhiwei has officially moved in with his lover, Sha Niu (played by Cherie Chung), and their relationship appears passionate, but Sun Zhiwei still cannot forget Liang Bao'er. When the time comes for their divorce agreement, Sun Zhiwei realizes he cannot let go of his ex-wife, ends his relationship with Sha Niu, and returns to Liang Bao'er. However, the two find that they have not resolved all the conflicts in their lives...
