Li Yue (Wang Yu) seeks revenge for his father's death by assassinating a treacherous minister, leading the court to put him on a wanted list, forcing him to hide and flee. The knight Fang Jun Zhao (Qiao Zhuang) encounters Li, and the two share a bond of mutual respect. Fang inadvertently confides in Li that he is searching for the lost fiancé of a woman named Zhen Er (Qin Ping), while actually being unable to control his own love for Zhen Er.
