The film "Young Su Qier" depicts the youthful story of the master Su Can. In the late Qing and early Republic of China, the Su family and the Wan family were prominent in Guangzhou's martial arts scene, leading to frequent conflicts, yet Su Can, the only son of the Su family, formed a close friendship with Hao, the youngest son of the Wan family. The two later meet Xiao Ling and Ma Kun by chance. Su Can and Xiao Ling fall in love, but he gets wrongfully imprisoned for murdering his father. To save him, Xiao Ling sacrifices herself to Captain Deng, leading to misunderstandings by Su Can. Meanwhile, with Ma Kun’s help, Su Can successfully escapes prison and opens a martial arts school with Ma Kun and Hao in the provincial city. Xiao Ling encounters Ma Kun again in the provincial city, where he expresses his love for her. Feeling hopeless about Su Can, Xiao Ling decides to accept Ma Kun’s affection. At this point, Su Can learns the truth, wanting to reconcile with Xiao Ling but finds it too late, as she has already agreed to marry Ma Kun, leaving Su Can heartbroken…
