Parting the layers of mist from a thousand years ago, what unfolds before us is a dynasty that has lasted for six hundred years—the Shang Dynasty. Now, the Shang Dynasty has long lost the brilliance and vitality it once had at its inception, and has become an old and decrepit figure, shrouded in ignorance and darkness. The last king, Zi Xin (played by Shen Rongjun), is wise enough to reject counsel and articulate falsehoods. He extorts and oppresses, squanders excessively, indulges in pleasures, and is cruel and heartless. Due to the disaster affecting his fief, the Marquis of Jizhou, Su Hu (played by Tian Feng), is unable to pay tribute and consequently faces the wrath of the Shang king. To save her father, the extraordinarily beautiful Daji (played by Lin Dai) decides to allure the Shang king with her beauty, leading him to neglect state affairs and march towards destruction. As Daji predicted, her enchanting appearance makes the Shang king infatuated, causing him to heed her every word. Under Daji's temptation, this tyrannical ruler becomes increasingly ruthless; he not only slaughters the queen and humiliates ministers but also massacres commoners and toys with feudal lords. Shortly after, turmoil rages across the lands, and the Shang Dynasty finally faces its moment of demise…
