"Edge of Darkness" is adapted from the 1985 six-hour BBC miniseries. Boston homicide detective Thomas Craven (played by Mel Gibson), a devoted single father, deeply cares for his 24-year-old daughter. However, tragedy strikes when she is murdered on the doorstep of their home. Thomas believes the real target is himself and stubbornly immerses himself in the case. As the investigation deepens, he discovers that his daughter's murder involves a deeper conspiracy tied to corruption within the entire government system.
