Ye Gu Hong (played by Miriam Yeung) is naturally cheerful and optimistic. Despite having gone through many unfortunate events over the years, she always brushes them off with a smile and often studies various methods of changing her luck. The city's famous feng shui master, Lai Liao Bu (played by Tony Leung), has been taught since childhood not to get involved with anyone with the surname Ye. In order to seek his guidance, Ye Gu Hong goes to great lengths to approach Liao Bu, marking the beginning of their connection. It turns out that a high-ranked individual has been disrupting Gu Hong's life, who is none other than Lai Liao Bu's archrival, Duan Xie (played by Ronald Cheng). The one who aims to put Ye Gu Hong in danger is her father's second wife. Ignoring his ancestral teachings, Lai Liao Bu is determined to join forces with Gu Hong to confront Duan Xie.
