The exhausted writer Lu Yun (played by He Chaoyi) is struggling to write her latest novel. She has noticed her memory deteriorating and often relies on medication to stabilize her mental state. Recently, Lu Yun's condition seems to have worsened, as she is frequently haunted by a bizarre nightmare, bringing her close to a breakdown. Early one morning, after waking from a nightmare, Lu Yun calls her husband Zhang Shiquan (played by Xie Chengjun), who is away on business. He comforts her and informs her that he will be flying home that day. Unbeknownst to her, Zhang Shiquan has just finished an intimate encounter with another woman, Liu Ling. While discussing with publishers and editors, Lu Yun is shocked to receive the terrible news that her husband's plane has crashed. She rushes to the accident site and unexpectedly encounters Liu Ling's husband, Han Bin (played by Xia Fan). Han Bin discovers a stranger's phone among his wife's belongings and desperately tries to uncover the secrets she kept during her life.
