Between 1985 and 1987, the Polish Security Bureau launched a secret operation named "Hyacinth," aimed at tracking and detaining homosexual men within the country. Approximately 11,000 individuals were entered into a database, many of whom later experienced threats and blackmail. This all began with a mysterious murder case. A wealthy businessman was killed in a villa, and the process of chasing the murderer was shrouded in fog. The male protagonist, Robert, is a naive young policeman. Although his father is a police chief, he despises favoritism and is extremely serious about solving cases, hoping to uncover the truth behind the events. Robert secretly goes undercover in the homosexual community without informing his fiancée, where he meets outgoing male college student Eric. Eric is a bold and confident young man who has received Western education. He naturally trusts Robert and complains about the despicable nature of the Hyacinth operation while revealing some insider information related to the murder case. Sensing his partner's inner repression, Eric tells Robert that one shouldn't be afraid of everything, especially not fear freedom... As Robert delves deeper into the investigation, he discovers a vast money-sex network behind the wealthy businessman, and his infatuation with Eric brings him into danger...
