When I was just thirteen years old, on that spring day in 1941, the day I first saw her, Mussolini declared war on England and France, and I got my first bicycle. She, with her wavy, glossy black hair, wearing the trendiest short skirt and stockings, and stepping into high heels filled with seductive allure, arrived in the tranquil sunny town of Sicily. Every movement of hers caught attention and sparked imagination; every frown and smile of hers made men swoon and women envious. Malèna, like a goddess, conquered this seaside paradise. The thirteen-year-old Renaldo couldn't help but fall into the whirlwind stirred up by Malèna. He not only rode his bike around town with older teenagers, searching for Malèna's alluring figure and myriad charms but also secretly became her unaware shadow, closely following and spying on her life. She became a widow, and in the eyes of the townspeople, she turned into an absolute femme fatale, bringing forth lust, jealousy, and rage. A storm mixed with desire and indignation began to sweep over this town, which had not even been disturbed by war. Malèna gradually sank deeper, severing ties with her father, being taken to court, and losing all her possessions. This forced the naive and inexperienced Renaldo to confront the cruel and ruthless nature of the people in this simple town. Watching Malèna, who had lost everything, he surprisingly gathered courage he never had before and decided to use his own strength in an unforeseen way to help Malèna emerge from the mire of her life...
