A cargo ship in the port of San Pedro, California, exploded, killing 27 people and leaving $90 million missing. After the incident, FBI agent Kujan waited at the hospital for a comatose survivor; Customs agent David (played by Chazz Palminteri) interrogated another survivor, Verbal Kint (played by Kevin Spacey), who had received immunity. Kint confessed that he, along with the deceased Keaton (Gabriel Byrne), Fred Fenster (Benicio del Toro), McManus (Stephen Baldwin), and Dean Keaton, had been brought into the police station as suspects in a truck robbery six months earlier, and the five formed a criminal gang and got into serious trouble. The good times didn’t last long; one day, lawyer Kobayashi (played by Peter Postlethwaite) approached them to burn the drugs on the cargo ship for their mysterious boss, Keyser Söze. Fenster was the first to back out and was immediately killed, leaving the remaining four to accept the task. Aboard the ship, McManus, Fenster, and Keaton failed to find the drugs and were subsequently killed by Söze, while Kint miraculously survived by remaining on shore to provide support. Meanwhile, the survivor being treated at the hospital pieced together an image of Söze, leaving everyone stunned...
