After the Alps case, Sheriff Niemans (Jean Reno) is promoted to police chief due to his outstanding investigative abilities. He discovers a buried corpse in the walls of the La Podie Monastery, where mysterious symbols near the body and strange rituals surrounding the deceased seem to conceal unusual meanings. Young sheriff Leda (Benoît Magimel) finds and assists a half-dead man resembling Jesus next to a church, initially thinking he has encountered a religious fanatic, but soon realizes the case is closely linked to Niemans' investigation. Surrounded by fog, Niemans and Leda finally uncover that each victim shares the same name and occupation as Christ's twelve apostles. With the help of female police officer and religious historian Marie (Camille Natta), they strive to uncover the truth behind this incredible conspiracy. Determined to find all the answers, Niemans and Leda must bravely delve into a centuries-old secret…
