The Southern Song Dynasty was a period where it's difficult to distinguish between humans and demons. The monk Fahai (played by Zhao Wenzhuo) was capturing妖精 everywhere, disturbing the two snakes, Bai and Qing, who were cultivating at the bottom of West Lake.
