Young and impetuous art teacher Guo Yuntian (Yu Han) was transferred from a big city to Shuicheng Town Primary School, where he discovered that the "bad student" Gu Amin (Huang Kunxuan) is a painting genius in the eyes of other teachers. After finding out that Gu Amin comes from a poor family, Guo Yuntian began to take care of him and often clashed with other teachers on his behalf. The principal entrusted Guo Yuntian to select an art representative for the school to participate in a competition, and Guo Yuntian strongly recommended Gu Amin. However, he faced opposition from other teachers. Despite his arguments, Guo Yuntian was ultimately overruled, and with a sense of guilt towards Gu Amin, he left Shuicheng Town with one of Gu Amin's paintings. After being eliminated, Gu Amin, heartbroken and suffering from long-term malnutrition, fell ill with liver disease and passed away. Unbeknownst to him, the painting he gifted to Guo Yuntian as a memento had earned him worldwide honor.
