Marina (played by Cecilia Suárez) is a factory worker who works a 9-to-5 job. Her life is calm and uneventful, occasionally feeling a hint of loneliness, but this melancholic feeling is quickly pushed aside by her monotonous work. One day, Marina wins a chance for a seaside getaway for two in a raffle, which leaves her pondering, as she has no idea whom to invite along. Later, at a café, Marina encounters a man named Víctor (played by Enrique Arreola), who claims to be her high school classmate. Although Marina doesn't have a strong memory of him, they start dating. When the time is right, Marina invites Víctor to join her on the seaside trip, and he happily agrees.
