For many years, Julie (played by Juliette Binoche) has silently supported her husband’s creative career while taking care of their 5-year-old child, but her peaceful life is shattered by a car accident. The death of her husband and daughter plunges Julie, who has just awakened from her hospital bed, into deep sorrow. She once thought about ending her life, but after being discharged from the hospital, she develops a desire to retreat from the world. She burns her husband’s musical scores as a determination to sever ties with the past. For Julie, who is filled with despair, living in the world has become irrelevant.However, reality invades her life unexpectedly, prompting her to reconsider her attitude towards life. At the same time, a friend of her husband publishes the incomplete manuscript left behind by him in the media, claiming to complete the piece. This revelation leads Julie to discover that the music is actually connected to another woman. This woman is pregnant with her husband’s child.Julie finally gains spiritual freedom and finds the courage to embrace a new life and new emotions, marking a turning point in her life.
