Sergey, a Russian businessman running trade along the Sino-Soviet border, not only got lost but also got his truck stuck in a mud pit. In a state of confusion, he climbed to the top of a hill seeking help, only to find a corpse undergoing a traditional Mongolian sky burial. In his shock and panic, he encountered the Mongolian herdsman Gengba. The simple and warm-hearted Gengba invited Sergey to his home, slaughtered a sheep, and hosted him with a feast, helping to resolve his truck issues. Gengba, his wife, and their three children live a traditional nomadic life like their ancestors, and this warm, natural family life makes Sergey reminisce about his relatives far back in his homeland. Soon, Sergey caused a disturbance at a karaoke bar in the city and was taken away by the police, but Gengba managed to have him released through a relative. Ultimately, these two men, from different ethnic backgrounds, with a language barrier and vastly different lifestyles, became good friends. Gengba, however, has his own worries; his wife has already given birth to three children, and a doctor has warned her against having more. This issue has troubled Gengba, and he hasn't been able to be intimate with his wife for several months. One night, his wife, who grew up in the city, told him about a solution called condoms and advised him to pick some up when he goes to the city to buy a color TV. In the city pharmacy, Gengba felt extremely embarrassed and ended up awkwardly leaving with a smile. On his way home, after enjoying canned food and drinks from the city, Gengba dreamt of his ancestor—Genghis Khan…
