High school student Meng Kerou (Gwei Lun-mei) and Lin Yuanzhen (Liang Shuhui) are very close friends. Yuanzhen tells Kerou that she has a crush on a boy named Zhang Shihau (Chen Bolin) and often asks Kerou to help her get closer to him, to help her get to know him, and to help deliver love letters.
