The story takes place in Santiago, the capital of Chile. Gloria (played by Paulina Garcia), 58, always wears large-frame glasses and has been divorced for 10 years. However, these monotonous and dull labels do not stop her from yearning for and pursuing a happy life. Gloria is keen on attending various singles parties to seek temporary satisfaction, even though after each party, she must endure greater loneliness and emptiness alone. Until one day, Gloria meets the refined retired Navy officer, Rudolfo (played by Sergio Hernández), at a party, and the long-lost fire of desire ignites in their romantic encounter. They participate in camouflage shooting games, bungee jumping, and of course, share sweet moments of intimacy. Rudolfo awakens all of Gloria's passions and desires in an instant, and she begins to envision a future with him, even dreaming of spending a lifetime together. However, as their intimacy grows, Gloria's worries deepen. Finally, at a birthday party, Rudolfo vanishes once again without a word. At this moment, Gloria resolves to end this relationship. The lead actress, Paulina Garcia, won the Silver Bear for Best Actress at the 63rd Berlin International Film Festival in 2013 for her performance.
